Daily Flow

The following schedule is a sample of what parents may expect during a typical school day. The time frames are meant only to be a guide, as sometimes the children may need more time outside. Other days a particular project (bread making, slime concocting, full-room train track construction) may require extra time. Still other days we may be on one of several different field trips that occur throughout the year.

Daily Rhythm

8:45 – Parent helpers arrive, help prepare the day’s activities.

9:00 – Circle time with Teacher Elizabeth.

Free choice time: Students flow between the two classrooms at will and have access to a craft, two sensory play activities, the theme play area, and the reading loft.

10:30-10:45 – Clean up (children help).

10:45-11:00 – Snacks are served family-style. Conversation and manners are encouraged.

11:00-12:00  Outdoor play (during inclement weather, play happens in the great room where children have access to tricycles, riding toys, and a variety of play equipment).

12:00 Pick-up time and goodbyes.

12:15 Parent helpers depart.
